ARTISTIC STATEMENT

I am fascinated by the human being and the full range of expression of what it means to be human. My art brings the influence of personal perspective in the interpretation of the surrounding reality.

From my earliest childhood memory, I knew I was an artist. I continuously need to create, explore and connect at the most universal level, and quantum physics is an endless inspiration. After studying Siang Mien, the Chinese art of face reading, figure drawing, painting of the classics and calligraphy, portraying became a language to bring to reality imaginary archetypes and induce strong primal emotions that viewers recognize in their own acquaintances.
I am inspired to create paintings, performances, sculpture as immersive journeys, narrating stories and symbolism in which the human being is in the center of attention. Everybody has their own interpretation of the world and everything is volatile, momentary, and perpetually on the move.

I am uniquely able to express these different worlds and views of reality together in a two-dimensional painting. While capturing our relationship with other worlds, my work shows the endless possibilities of quantum physics, emphasizing the evolutional connection between people, past, present and future. By playing off different experiences and images, and by assembling and playing off opposites in time and in art movements (figurative art – abstract art), the solidarity and individuality are redefined, In this way my work contributes to the cultivation of mutual respect and reconciliation of diverse elements.

I believe that Artists have a responsibility to elevate the vibration of the world. Each art piece vibrates, resonates and induces an echo in the spectator’s own vibration. From my earliest memory it is clear that my mission is to energize the positive evolution of humanity.

BIOGRAPHY

Born in Brussels Belgium and lives and works in Dubai.

She graduated from the Art Academy Sint-Lukas Brussels, Belgium (at present LUCA School of Arts University College and Sint-Lukas Kunst Humaniora) majoring in Graphic Design, Drawing from a model, Setting and Scenery Design, Photography and major Fine Art, Visual Arts, Painting and Sculpting.

As a visual artist she creates immersive art installations, enriched in creativity, innovation and art techniques, F.man’s public space art combines painting, sculpture, photography, performance, digital, light art and technology. Her works are found in both public and private collections across the world including Europe, USA, South America, Middle East, Australia.

She is a versatile and idealistic artist who always delights in virtuosity and dexterity in the handling of styles, techniques and artistic diversity. Her Art offers a new perspective on ancient subjects such as portraits and nature, and alternates with abstractions deeply related to the purity of being. Thanks to the innovative techniques she invented, her paintings evolve with light and time, and emanate from depth, emotion and magnetism.

She has lectured at the Sea of Culture Foundation Sharjah, at the Canadian University Dubai and also exhibited in Brussels, Monaco, Miami, the Etihad Museum Dubai and the Louvre Museum Abu Dhabi.
