Dr. Mariam Ketait

Dr. Mariam Ketait started her exploration of the human body as a family medicine practitioner, through that platform she learned about the human body, emotions, and the inter connectedness of mind and body and the impact our psyche has on our health conditions. She then started introducing different methods of cultivating health by giving patients gratitude prescriptions and designing wellbeing strategies based on their needs to facilitate balance and ease back into their lives. From there, she discovered the power of colours and shapes and space in creating and environment of healing, and that there are many ways to achieve wellbeing intrinsically and in the ecosystem. Her first “art” project was to curate an art space in the clinic she worked in so that it can uplift patients and make the space more emotionally safe and beautiful. In her own process, colour and painting was a big part of her self discovery too – as she delved into the inner child work, the masculine and feminine balance, and the ability to voice out your truth and shine it through as a woman.

She dabbed into interactive design as she created public art to represent values that she felt would bring more wellbeing to the world, values such as: optimism, listening, sustainability and presence. She continues to explore the inter connectedness between art, the mind body and spirit and works with medical conditions through visualizing the entanglements in the psych and the family systems to help bring ease through recreating the flow by introducing beauty, love, colour and light. Her artwork aims to bring wellbeing in the world and to inspire others to take the lead and change their lives through meditation, healthier choices and authentic growth.
